On the 16th. ultimo an officer was sent from the Ministry
to interview His Majesty's Legation on the subject of the thr..
Chi-hɛi, and Ying-lin,
preventive gunboats, the Chen-tung, belonging to the Salt Administration.
Several communications on this subject have since been
